In Vol.3, No. 3 (Summer/Fall 2004) edition of the Quarterly Newsletter of the Long Island Natural History Museum, the Long Island Falconers' Association is officially recognized as a new associate organization. The announcement reads in part, " The Museum's Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that it has designated the Long Island Falconer's' Association as an official Associate Organization of the Long Island Natural History Museum. Among the goals shared by the two organizations is the establishment of a Raptor Center........"
